Carlsberg House is a warm, welcoming environment for girls in school years 4 to 12. Up to 51 girls live in the House together with resident staff.
Carlsberg’s motto is “Success is an attitude” which encourages all students to approach their day to day life in a positive manner and strive for best to achieve their full potential.
Girls live in shared dormitories and have four common room areas to cater for different age groups; these equipped with televisions, DVD players, books, magazines, daily newspapers and board games. There are also two shared kitchens, equipped with kettles, toasters and microwave ovens. All of the girls are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities run both at the weekend and during the week. House trips are planned with all students in mind and include visiting local towns and cities such as Bracknell, Windsor, Oxford and Reading as well activities such as the cinema, bowling, ice skating and trampolining.
Housemistress Mrs Bernadette O'Grady is responsible for the pastoral care of the girls. She is supported by residential staff: Assistant Housemistress Ms Gwen Els and Graduate Boarding Assistant Miss Venetia Matthews, as well as a team of non-resident tutors who make up the House Staff Team.
