Extended Day for junior and senior school pupils
We offer the facility to have your child cared for at the beginning and/or end of the normal school day. Extended Day allows pupils to enjoy many of the advantages of the boarding school environment whilst still being able to travel home each evening.
Breakfast club runs from 7.45am. For Reception to Year 4 the School day ends at 3.30pm and the end of day facility operates on a half hourly basis so you may choose to collect your child at 4.00pm, 4.30pm, 5.00pm, 5.30pm or 6.15pm (which includes Supper).
For Year 5 and 6 students the School day ends at 4.00pm and we offer collection times from our extended day programme 4.30pm, 5.00pm, 5.30pm or 6.15pm which includes Supper.
Children who stay with us until 6.15pm will be taken to have supper with our boarding community in the dining hall.
The children have the opportunity to play in a less formal but fully supervised environment, as well as being given the chance to complete any homework they may have.
Extended day for the Senior school begins from 7.45am with breakfast club and then runs until our latest collection at 6.45pm. After school, pupils check in for Extended Day and loosely follow the following timetable:
16.00pm Snack in Dining Hall
16.15pm Supervised Prep or after school club/activities
18.00pm Supervised Prep (or free time when finished)
18.45pm (latest) Collection from Classroom (Year 7) or Reception (Year 8 & 9)
Prep is supervised and homework diaries are checked. IT facilities are available and the Learning Resource Centre is also available. Pupils may go out onto the sports fields, read a book or play basketball etc. when prep is finished.
