At LVS Ascot we are proud of the investment we have made over the years to provide top-class facilities for all our pupils.
The school's facilities are generally used by all members of the school, appropriate to their age, including Junior, Senior, Sixth Form, day and boarding students. The LVS Ascot Junior School and LVS Ascot Sixth Form also each have their own specially equipped buildings and our four boarding houses are situated within the school campus.
A small selection of our facilities is listed below:
IT plays a big role in pupils’ everyday lives and LVS Ascot hosts over five hundred networked workstations, with every classroom equipped with ICT resources. Wireless networking provides additional networked facilities for centrally managed, student laptops, eBooks and other devices in a secure environment. Digital learning is an integral part of the learning environment, encompassing virtual learning and interactive facilities, integrating audio visual hardware with software and services to provide core teaching and learning throughout the campus and beyond.
LVS Ascot Junior School Facilities
Our Junior School pupils are situated in their own building and make use of all the sports facilities, the Learning Resource Centre and the theatre, as well as the Music and Design and Technology blocks in the Senior School. They also benefit from their own ICT Suite where all children from Reception to Year 6 have an opportunity to use the ICT suite for at least 45 minutes per week. In addition, the ICT suite is used to enhance numeracy, literacy and spellings lessons throughout the school.
The Juniors have their own hall which can be used for Assemblies, Drama, Circle Times and any other whole class activity which benefits from more space than the classrooms allow and separate playgrounds in beautiful surroundings which provide the children with many opportunities for active as well as imaginative play.
With the help of the PTA, the staff and children have worked hard to establish an environmental garden which can be used for a variety of purposes including quiet reading, Circle Time and Art. It also gives our budding horticulturalists an opportunity to show off their green fingers!
Sixth Form Facilities
Our Sixth form have their own purpose built Sixth Form Centre. Being part of the school community the Sixth Form have access to all the School’s excellent facilities and are encouraged to take an active role in developing their all round interests. Sixth Formers benefit from having their own Common Room and Cafe that is renowned for its appetising bacon rolls and jacket potatoes!
The Learning Resources Centre (LRC) has a specific floor for Sixth Formers to study during their personal study periods and also boasts a Sixth Form only computer suite.
There are also Sixth Form classrooms that students have access to should they seek more solitude in their studies.
