About Us

LVS Ascot is an all ability school of 900 pupils with something special to offer every child in your family. We do not have an entrance examination and our pupils come from a wide social and cultural background.  We offer places based on previous school reports, sometimes followed by an interview with either the Head of our Junior School (for the 4-11s) or the Head of our Senior School (for the over 11s).

We have the distinct advantage of being a through school, thus enabling children to embark on their educational career with us at the age of 4 and remaining in the school until the completion of the 6th form if they so choose.

We achieve outstanding academic results in both the Junior and Senior School. Day and boarding students are all able to participate in a wide programme of co-curricular activities, for both juniors and seniors.

Pastoral care is a priority and in the Senior School each child is allocated to either a boarding or day house, and within that to a tutor group. The Heads of House, with teams of tutors, oversee the welfare and development of their pupils. In the Junior School pastoral care is undertaken by your child's class teacher.

The school was founded on the ethical teachings, traditions and festivals of Christianity. While we are an inclusive school embracing all faiths and none, LVS Ascot still takes pride in its Christian roots. Assemblies are of a broadly Christian nature; Christmas, Easter and other special times of the year are celebrated. We have a full time Chaplain on our staff who, in addition to being  Head of Religious Education, also fulfils a pastoral and liturgical role throughout the school.
