School Medical Centre
The Medical Centre provides a comprehensive and professional health care service to all students, but particularly members of the boarding community. The Medical Centre is housed in a purpose built facility and is staffed by fully qualified personnel.
The school is served by The Gainsborough Practice in Warfield, Bracknell, and the school has full access to all the health services provided by that practice.
The School Medical Officers are Dr C Kade and Dr Catriona McDonald thus allowing the students a choice of seeing either a male or female doctor.
LVS Medical Staff
The Medical Centre is staffed by three fully qualified nurses:
Sister Laura Wooldridge, RGN - Full-time
Sister Anita Rossa, RGN, Cert H Ed - Part-time
Sister Jane Webster, RCN - Part-time
Medical Centre Staffing Arrangements
During the week the Medical Centre is staffed 24 hours a day.
At weekends the centre is staffed until Saturday 12 noon. From Saturday 12 noon until Sunday 6pm student medical care is maintained under the following arrangements.
- Heatherwood Hospital Minor Injuries Unit is open 8am-10pm.
- An on-call GP service via Sebdoc.
- School sister available by phone.
