The LVS Ascot Music Festival takes place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th February 2016
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our webpage for the 2nd LVS Ascot Music Festival. On this page you will find a downloadable syllabus, which includes details of our adjudicators, classes, the rules and regulations and our child protection policy. You can also download an entry form for completion from this page.
The 2015 Music Festival saw many talented young musicians take part across a wide range of categories, with cellist Yi Ann Yeung winning the Best Overall Musician trophy.
I have developed the festival this year to a broader range of classes, and some (but not all!) of the notable additions are a Band section, a Composition section, and so-called Performers’ Platforms for pianists. These last classes are non-competitive, and are designed to give performers of all ages an opportunity to perform without the pressure of competition weighing on their shoulders. For beginner and junior pianists, these will run on a friendly and informal basis in small classes. For pianists of grade 5 standard and above, these will run more as a masterclass in small classes.
