Oustanding effort by Whitbread girls in County X-Country

Two LVS girls ran in County Cross Country on Saturday in an outstanding effort against a field of more than 100.

Sophie Stewart, a Year 8 student in Whitbread House, competed hard in her field of county and national runners at the Berkshire Schools event at Wellington College. She finished a very strong 37th in a field of more than 150 girls.

Meanwhile, fellow Whitbread student Alexandra Noak made her County Cross-Country debut in the Year 7 girls' race. She ran extremely well and put in a great effort for her first County race, gaining excellent experience for the future.

A big well done to both girls.
