A star in the making as Robert, Year 7, appears in BBC 1’s Outnumbered
11-year-old LVS pupil Robert got his first taste of television stardom last week, as he appeared in award-winning BBC1 comedy Outnumbered on Thursday 15th April.
Year 7 student Robert, from Old Windsor, Berks, won the part after he was asked to audition by professional casting agent Crowley Poole, who he had met at a previous unsuccessful audition.
He played swotty junior chess champion Grayson, who takes on lead character Ben in the finals of a school chess tournament.
Robert’s only previous acting experience was the part of the Scarecrow in the Junior School production of OZ. He enjoyed it so much that he decided to take some acting classes, and was spotted there and signed up by an agent.
Robert said: “The filming was the best day of my life so far!”
