Junior Netballers Win Berkshire Team of the Year!
The Junior Netball Team were crowned Team of the Year at the Berkshire Netball Awards in April, after a fantastic season.
Team captain Georgina, Year 6, wrote us a report of the evening:
"On 23rd April the LVS Junior School Netball Team went to the Blue Mountain Golf Centre in Bracknell for the annual Berkshire Netball Awards, accompanied by our coaches, Miss Hoddle and Miss Mullins.
We were very excited to get there and there were around 15 teams we were up against. The prize we won was Berkshire Netball Junior School Team of the Year 2009/10, which is awarded for politeness, team work and very good playing. We couldn’t believe we had won it!
We all went up and as our prize we got a pink netball and a trophy. We also got our picture taken with Tamsi Greenway, who plays netball for England. At the end we went to Tamsi and got our ball signed by her.
Everyone was so excited in the bus. We couldn’t wait to get back to school and tell our parents. Miss Hoddle and Miss Mullins were very proud of us. We are very glad we have them as coaches."
