Parents dancing in the aisles at Junior School hit!
A cast of over 160 LVS Ascot Junior School pupils put on their singing and dancing shoes to present another successful production in the school's Britvic Theatre on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 June.
Named ‘No Strings Attached’, the production was a funky version of the original Pinocchio story that had a cast of 50 puppets, 50 bugs, 50 donkeys, an oversize cricket and an exploding shark!
Sophie D (10) stole the show in the lead role of Pinocchio, alongside outstanding performances by Ian D (10) as the Cricket, Manuella C (10) as the Fox and Isabella G (10) as the Cat.
“We had a full house audience each night,” explains Jenny Foster, Year 6 class teacher and the show's Musical Director and Producer.
“270 parents, family, friends and members of the community came to see the production, and to support the pupils who had worked so hard to make this a hit!
“I was extremely proud of their commitment, and was thrilled that they received such rapturous applause. There were even parents dancing in the aisles!”
