Fun for all at LVS Ascot Junior Sports Day

LVS Ascot Junior pupils had a great time at Junior School Sports Day on Thursday 17 June.

Dressed up in team colours of blue, green, red or yellow the students rallied to support their class mates on the field.

Andy Towse, Director of Sport, explains: “The students competed individually and also as part of their House teams, in a combination of fun races and competitive track and field events.

“There were egg and spoon races, monkey races and skipping races going on alongside the more serious distant races, sprint relays, javelin throwing and long jump.

“Parents were even given the chance to show off their sporting prowess in the parents’ race, an event that is extremely popular with the students”.

While the sports day is over for the junior students, the senior students’ Sports Day will be held on last day of term, Thursday 1 July.
