The LRC aims to encourage reading for pleasure in the following ways:

• Providing reading clubs for students of all ages and staff
• Providing reading boxes for tutor groups in years 7-11
• Taking part in local and national book awards
• Inviting authors, poets & storytellers into school
• Arranging regular book events and competitions
• Holding an annual Book Week
• Holding bookfairs
• Buying the latest fiction
• Providing parents with booklists and book suggestions via our lovereading4schools.co.uk web page as well as a parents’ guide to "building readers".
