Duke of Edinburgh's Award at LVS Ascot

LVS Ascot runs a flourishing and popular Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme, with regular expeditions and scores of students gaining Bronze, Silver and even Gold Awards.

Many of our school staff are trained as assessors and expedition supervisors, and the programme is headed up by the highly experienced and enthusiastic Ginny Beswick, a Human Biology teacher at LVS Ascot.

Our mission statement for DofE at LVS is: "To provide a variety of challenges to promote and recognise independence and respect for others".

Recent expeditions have included:

• Gold Award expedition to Snowdonia (August 2009)
• Bronze Award expedition to the New Forest (September 2009)
• Gold Award expedition to Exmoor (October 2009)
