LVS Ascot offers excellent boarding for boys and girls aged eight and above in Junior, Senior and Sixth Form education, within our modern, comfortable and extensive facilities.
At Kew House, we aim to foster a ‘home from home’ environment, which promotes the nurturing of the boys in their early boarding lives, while providing the supporting framework which aims to ensure that they progress with confidence and with ease.
Our fully qualified staff work tirelessly to encourage a happy and fun environment which aims to see the boarders enjoy their time with us at LVS Ascot. We strongly encourage our boarders to develop the independent skills needed in our modern world and to take safe and controlled risks to further their own learning. Kew House is home to approximately 43 boys that share dormitories ranging from five to six berths as well as a large communal area and a movie room.
Our weekend activities range from onsite playing on the school’s astro pitch, tennis court, use of the swimming pool and the use of our sport facilities to offsite adventures. These include visiting local towns such as Bracknell, Windsor and Camberley and sites of cultural interest such as the London Science and History museums.
Osborne House encourages students to approach their day-to-day life in a positive manner and strive for the best to achieve their full potential.
The girls live in shared dormitories and have four common rooms to cater for different age groups. These are equipped with TVs, DVD players, books, magazines, daily newspapers and board games.
All of the girls are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities run both at the weekend and during the week. House trips are planned with all students in mind and include visiting local towns and cities such as Bracknell, Windsor, Oxford and Reading as well activities such as the cinema, bowling, ice skating and trampolining.
Hampton House fully believe in its ethos of taking on all opportunities and realising that everything they do has an impact on the journey ahead. Staff together with the boys create a happy, friendly and supportive atmosphere and environment which is underpinned by British Values.
There are kitchen facilities to make refreshments and areas and equipment to watch television or DVDs, play pool, board games and table tennis. The boys enjoy the communal use of these facilities and are expected to take joint ownership in the upkeep and care of their home environment.
Boys enjoy a range of activities both during the week and at weekends. These range from House competitions and Sport activities to whole school teams. Trips are also common place and have included trips to local town centres and relatively close by beaches as well as Cinema, Bowling, GoKarting, Paintballing, professional sports matches, Thorpe Park, Chessington and BBQs to name but a few.
The house runs on the principles of support and consideration for others, providing an environment where each boarder can fulfil their potential in every area of their school life.
As the senior house, our boarders are given an appropriate measure of independence and encouraged to take a degree of responsibility for their own affairs, supported by the house staff and wider school community. Our aim in Blenheim is to develop ‘all-rounders’ that are well prepared for the world beyond LVS Ascot.
Within Blenheim, there are three large common rooms which include two small kitchens. The common area designated for study includes desks, white boards and a set of computers. The second common room has a large-screen home cinema system with surround sound, and the third is a games area with TV, a pool table, table football and tennis – ideal for relaxing after a hard day’s study.
