It is with great pleasure that LVS Ascot announces two new, key staff appointments, due to start on 1st September 2025.

Mr Kit Thompson has been appointed Head of the Infant and Junior School and Mr Ian Lloyd, Head of Senior School. We are delighted to have two very experienced and committed leaders who will further strengthen our leadership structure and we look forward to having them onboard in this capacity from September 2025.

Mr Kit Thompson (see photo below) comes to us with over two decades of extensive experience in independent education and school leadership. In previous roles, he led two co-educational, independent prep schools – Orchard House School, Chiswick and Unicorn School, Kew – where he championed academic excellence, individual talent development and character education. His leadership has been instrumental in fostering positive school cultures, supporting staff development, and ensuring pupils receive a well-rounded education. Most recently he has worked as an executive coach and education consultant, supporting school leaders with their professional development. Kit is looking forward to working closely with pupils, staff, and parents to build on the school’s successes.

He joined LVS Ascot as Interim Deputy Head, Head of Mathematics, and Head of Years 10 & 11 in November 2024, after having served at his previous school for eight years as Senior Deputy Headmaster. He holds a BSc in Computing (First Class Honours) from the Open University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Practice from Cardiff University. Ian is a qualified teacher of both mathematics and computer science and holds membership with the Chartered College of Teachers and Association of Teachers of Mathematics. Ian is committed to enhancing student success through a supportive and positive school environment and providing a well-rounded education helping students to develop academically, socially, emotionally and prepare them for the future.
