We are excited to share that our Year 7 students have now arrived on a fantastic residential trip to Portland in Dorset. Students will be enjoying coastal adventures and glamping in bell-tents. This promises to be a memorable experience, full of opportunities for learning, teamwork, and fun.
We will be sharing updates and photos of the trip here on the website, so please check back during the week to follow along with the adventure as it unfolds.
Day One: We’ve arrived safely! ☀️
The sun is shining, and everyone is in great spirits. The kids have settled into their tents and are already off to their first adventure-filled activities — climbing, coastering, and archery!
Dinner was also a big hit. We had chili con carne and a tasty vegetarian option with rice and nachos. A lot of students went back for seconds!
We finished the evening with a campfire and some fun Mini Olympics before settling down for the night. It was a short night for most, as it can be tricky settling into the wild and getting used to all the nature noises but mostly the excitement! But we’re sure everyone will sleep better tonight.
Day Two: Ready for more activities!
We started the day with a lovely hot breakfast to fuel up for the adventure ahead!
This morning, our Year 7 students also enjoyed a beautiful walk, tried their hand at seine netting in the sea, and conquered the rock-climbing wall! These activities were a great challenge, and we’re so proud of their perseverance and enthusiasm throughout. Well done, Year 7!
After an exciting morning of coasteering for some of the groups, our Year 7 students returned to camp for lunch and got stuck into a fun catapult-building activity. The other groups had a mix of afternoon adventures too with a scenic walk and swim or a climbing session. Everyone got a turn to challenge themselves in different ways.
After, we all came back together in the evening for a lovely dinner which was spaghetti with tomato sauce and garlic bread – always a favourite!
We then ended the day with another cosy campfire and more mini Olympics. The children had a great time and spirits were high!
Day 3: The final day!
After a good breakfast to fuel up, we were all set and ready for our final round of activities.
Our final activities were a big hit and really enjoyed by all the students. Everyone did a great job packing up and making sure their tents were clean and tidy before we set off.
Well done to Year 7 for being so brave, resilient, and full of energy throughout the trip.
A huge thank you from the following teachers:
Miss Rives Carneiro, Mr Holt, Miss Konigkramer, Mr Hart, Mrs Franklin, Mrs Price and Mr Hackland
We are so proud of the students.
