High Performance Learning (HPL)

High Performance Learning – Stretching Potential, Raising Aspirations
At LVS Ascot, we believe that high performance is not reserved for a select few — it is achievable by all students, given the right conditions. That’s why we have adopted the High Performance Learning (HPL) framework, a research-led approach which recognises that ability can be developed through hard work, challenge, and positive thinking.
HPL teaches our students how to think — not just what to think. It focuses on building advanced cognitive skills (like analysis, creativity and resilience) alongside key values such as confidence, curiosity and collaboration. These are skills for life, not just for exams.
For parents, HPL means your child is being nurtured in a culture where high expectations are the norm, and where learning is designed to go beyond the syllabus. It means teachers are trained to spot potential, stretch learners appropriately, and help all students understand how to learn more effectively.
Most importantly, it means your child won’t be held back by assumptions — but encouraged, challenged, and supported to be the very best version of themselves.
