LVS Ascot students are celebrating their fantastic GCSE results today.
The results included a 100% BTEC pass rate and a 100% pass rate in many subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, Maths (Higher Tier), Music, Media and French. An impressive 92.7% of pupils achieved at least five grades 4–9, with two students achieving eight grade 9s each.
These remarkable achievements reflect pupils’ determination and commitment, supported by dedicated subject specialists and LVS Ascot’s culture of academic excellence.
Among the individual success stories is Jack, who achieved six grade 9s and three grade 8s. He will continue into LVS Ascot Sixth Form, studying English Literature, Philosophy, and Law, as part of the Oxbridge Pathway. Jack credits the school’s community and co-curricular opportunities for his success, saying:
“It’s not just about the subjects, it’s also the co-curricular activities. The shows and musicals have been amazing, and I’ve loved working with the crew. Every teacher is so enthusiastic, and they really are the school’s greatest asset.”
Rosie also celebrated outstanding success, achieving six grade 9s and three grade 8s. She will remain at LVS Ascot Sixth Form, where she has been awarded a Spirit of LVS Scholarship, studying Maths, English Literature, and History. Reflecting on her experience, Rosie said that LVS Ascot is unique because it develops well-rounded people, encouraging students to pursue extracurricular activities alongside their academic studies. When asked to describe LVS Ascot in one word, she chose: “Enthusiastic.”
Our Principal Christine Cunniffe commended both the pupils and the wider school community, saying:
“Year after year, our pupils are awarded an outstanding set of grades. This is down to our wonderful young people who have worked so hard, committed to their studies, and taken every opportunity to shine as they are doing today. To say I am proud is an understatement.”
