Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths

At LVS Ascot, we prepare students for a world shaped by science, technology and innovation. Our approach to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education goes beyond the classroom — offering real-world skills, industry connections, and unique opportunities that set our students apart.
One of our most exciting developments is our Aviation Programme, the first of its kind in the region. Students can apply for aviation scholarships, take part in flight simulator training, and work towards recognised qualifications in flying — all supported by a professional aviation partner and delivered through our bespoke STEM faculty.

Alongside aviation, our STEM provision includes:
- Advanced Science Labs for hands-on experimentation and research
- Robotics and Engineering Clubs to foster problem-solving and creativity
- Esports and Digital Skills through our dedicated gaming suite and computing curriculum
- Microsoft Showcase School status, supporting digital fluency for both staff and students
Whether they aspire to be pilots, engineers, coders, or entrepreneurs, our students benefit from a future-focused curriculum that opens doors to the industries of tomorrow — while developing critical thinking, curiosity and resilience today.

Empowering Education Through Technology
At LVS Ascot, we embrace a Blended Learning approach that integrates technology seamlessly into every aspect of teaching and learning. Our commitment to digital excellence is evident across the school:
- Staff Technology: All academic staff are equipped with Microsoft Surface devices, enabling them to plan and deliver engaging, interactive lessons. Every classroom features an interactive board to support dynamic teaching.
- Student Devices: From Year 3 onwards, each pupil has their own device—90% of which are Microsoft-based—ensuring consistent access to digital learning tools.
- Study Spaces: Across the campus, pupils benefit from dedicated private study areas equipped with docking stations, allowing them to connect to monitors and charge their devices while working independently.
- Infant and Junior School: Pupils begin their digital journey early, using iPads to record work and develop essential digital skills.
- Computing Labs: In addition to personal devices, we maintain two fully equipped computer labs, each with 24 PCs, supporting IT and computing lessons.
- Design & Technology Department: Pupils bring their ideas to life using 3D printers and advanced CAD machinery (please confirm machine names), fostering innovation and hands-on learning.
