What Our Boarders Say

LVS Ascot provides a home away from home for our boarders. They thrive in an environment built on trust and respect, with a very experienced team of residential staff to guide and support them. All whilst making memories and friendships through shared experiences, opportunities, challenges and celebrations that will last a lifetime.
Our four boarding houses are in our modern, well-equipped campus located in 26 acres of parkland. We have excellent travel links to major airports and to London.
At LVS Ascot we recognise that if the student is happy then they will learn and succeed.
On this part of our website we let our boarders, past and present, tell you in their own words about their experience at our school, and how they enjoyed boarding.

Soodeh
I joined LVS Ascot in September 2022 from Iran, to begin the Pre-A level course and I live in Kew House.
Moving to a new country and starting a new school system was a big change , but LVS helped me feel comfortable and supported right from the start. My teachers were incredibly patient , supportive , and truly believed in my potential.
One of the most special things about LVS is how personal it feels. I was genuinely surprised that within just a week , every teacher knew my name. It made me feel seen, valued and part of a community.
The friendships I have made here are beyond meaningful. They have become my chosen family and I know they will be part of my life forever.
LVS Ascot has given me not only an excellent education but also confidence, resilience and relationships that will stay with me long into the future.
Being a boarder has prepared me to be independent before entering university.

Abhas
Our recent Head of Boarding, Abhas, joined LVS Ascot in Year 7. Abhas says his boarding experience at LVS Ascot has prepared him for the future.
“I learned how to take care of myself… and just be myself as well. They are pretty important skills, and they were my top priorities.”
The co-curricular activities and teambuilding exercises he did when he first joined the school helped him settle in quickly, build confidence, and make new friends.
As Head of Boarding, he got to support others by making sure they got any help they needed with studies, sports, or making friends. “Boarding at LVS Ascot is not just ‘sleeping at school’, it’s more like a family,” he says.

Ibrahim
When I joined LVS Ascot from Azerbaijan, I was warmly welcomed into Hampton House, which quickly felt like home.
One of the things I love most about LVS Ascot is its incredible diversity – I’ve made friends from all over the world, and it’s created a really inclusive and supportive community. I was proud to be House Captain of Hampton, where I developed leadership skills and worked closely with others to build team spirit.
The rooms and overall environment at LVS Ascot are also fantastic – comfortable, modern, and perfect for both study and relaxation. It’s been a truly enriching and memorable experience.
Hampton House, isn’t just where we live, it’s where we grow together.

Syanil
I am proud to say I am the new Head Boarder and House Captain of LVS Ascot.
I come from Nepal and have been part of the boarding community here since year 7. Now I am going into my sixth year as a boarder and I would say LVS Ascot has become a second home to me.
Boarding has shaped me as to who I am today. Over the years, I have developed key life skills such as independence, confidence, time management, and the ability to work alongside a diverse range of people.
I have genuinely enjoyed my stay here, hence why I stayed for Sixth Form. I’ve gained countless memories and formed close friendships with both students and staff within the boarding community.
As Head Boarder, I’m excited to support others and helping ensure that everyone enjoys their time here and has a rewarding experience, just as I’ve had.

Dikchhya
During my time as a student at Osborne House, LVS Ascot, I developed not only academically but also as a leader and a team player.
Being appointed House Captain of Osborne was a highlight of my school journey, and it gave me the opportunity to support and inspire my peers, organise events, and contribute to the strong sense of community within the house.
I took great pride in representing Osborne in inter-house competitions and in helping to create an inclusive and encouraging environment for all students.
This role taught me valuable skills in communication, responsibility and teamwork that I will carry with me into the future.

Jabari
Jabari was a recent Head Boy and he joined the school as a boarder in Year 7. His family moved around a lot when he was younger as they are in the armed forces. LVS Ascot was able to offer him a stable and nurturing environment. Jabari was also keen to find a solid friendship group and says he made lifelong friends at the school.
The duties of being Head Boy may have taken up some of Jabari’s free time, but he studied hard for his A-Levels. He is also a keen athlete and has his sights set on the 2028 Olympics. He says LVS Ascot supported him to work towards that goal.
“In the supportive atmosphere, pupils are polite and thoughtful and apply themselves purposefully to their studies.”
