Textiles

GCSE course outline
This course is an exciting practical programme of study. It involves the creation, selection and manipulation of a range of materials across a number of processes. These include weaving, knitting, felting, embroidery, construction techniques, applique, printing and batik. Students will have the opportunity to lead their work in a direction that best suits their interests and strengths.
Skills required
Students must be enthusiastic and already have a keen interest in the creative arts. They should be open to new processes and techniques, and be willing to experiment with these.
