LVS Ascot is proud to have achieved Microsoft Showcase School Status for the second year running. The school became an Incubator School four years ago, signifying that it embedded Microsoft Education’s ethos throughout the school and engaged with the technology available. All together there are 82 Showcase Schools in the United Kingdom.
The Microsoft Showcase School programme is a school transformation programme and a global community of pioneer schools around the world. It is an opportunity to engage with Microsoft, and like-minded school leaders, to deepen and expand education transformation using the Microsoft Education Transformation Framework. Showcase Schools create student-centred, immersive, and inclusive experiences that inspire lifelong learning, thus stimulating the development of essential future-ready skills so students are empowered to achieve more.
James McNaughton, Head of Digital Transformation said:
“As a Showcase School, we utilise Microsoft and all other technology across the school to enhance the learning experience for our pupils. Our staff receive training on the use of Microsoft and achieve additional qualifications to progress their teaching. We engage and collaborate with other local Showcase Schools to share best practices and support those schools looking to become Showcase Schools. We embrace Microsoft’s ethos. The programme is a community of like-minded education centres looking to teach our students the skills they will need beyond school.”
