Oxbridge and Elite University Scholarship Criteria

Eligibility
This scholarship is designed to support exceptionally able students who demonstrate high academic potential and ambition to study at the UK’s most prestigious universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, and leading London institutions.
Open to internal and external candidates entering:
Year 10 (via application in Year 9)
Year 11 (via application in Year 10)
Year 12 (via application in Year 11)

Academic Criteria
Applicants must:
Have a standardised baseline score of 130 or above.
Show evidence of sustained academic progress and consistently high attainment.
Demonstrate an early and proactive interest in pursuing competitive university pathways, supported by wider academic engagement and initiative.

Year Specific Expectations
Year 9 (for Year 10 entry):
Indicators of academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, and initiative, with evidence of engagement beyond the classroom.
Year 10 (for Year 11 entry):
Ongoing commitment to academic challenge, with developing independent study habits and exposure to subject-specific enrichment.
Year 11 (for Year 12 entry):
Demonstrated independent learning, involvement in academic enrichment (e.g. online courses, competitions), and preparation aligned with university goals.

Application Process
A written personal statement outlining:
- Academic interests and future aspirations.
- Reasons for applying and readiness to commit to the programme.
A school reference confirming:
- High levels of motivation, academic ambition, and contribution to learning culture.
An academic interview and/or subject-specific assessment.

Expectations of Scholarship Holders
Full engagement in the LVS Ascot Oxbridge/Elite University Preparation Programme, including:
UniAdmissions online support and masterclasses
Personal statement and admissions test workshops
Interview preparation
Wider academic enrichment and mentoring of peers
Maintenance of high academic standards and active participation in relevant opportunities throughout the scholarship period.

Scholarship Value and First Steps.
- A maximum of 50% remission on day fees.
- The cost of the UniAdmissions programme is fully included within the scholarship award.
