Topic – Teacher resilience, the key issues in recruitment, retention and staff wellbeing.
In this discussion, Michelle and Christine will be discussing the key issues surrounding recruitment and retention in the teaching profession. In such a demanding role, resilience forms a huge part of a teacher’s survival and is enough being done to help teacher navigate the demands and expectations of teachers?
As well as exploring attitudes in the workplace generally with Kate Davis, Founder of Meraki and National Coach of the Year, we will be joined by Kendal Parmar, former CEO of Untapped and now the founder and developer of a new resilience app for teachers- Bea. Kendal is a mental health and AI expert. She trained as a behavioural scientist, clinical and business psychologist.
Over the last 10 years, Kendal co- founded, and was the CEO, of Untapped AI. This is a successful AI Leadership coaching company, coaching over 10,000 Leaders across leading edge FTSE NASDAQ companies including Accenture, JP Morgan & National Grid. She is a passionate speaker about the psychological safety of AI and she has spoken for the UN in Davos, Columbia, LSE and Imperial & Oxford Universities. She has built a highly emotional intelligent AI bot that is on the ChatGPT store with superb feedback. Her aim is for it to be the de facto AI assistant – a first line supervisory bot for teachers.
We will be joined then by LVS Ascot DSL Laura Collins we will explore staff wellbeing and the importance of this strategy, especially with the challenges our sector is facing at the moment. While on the subject of AI chatbots, we will touch on the issues of children and AI chatbots and what teachers and parents needs to know about how this is developing.
