Our School's Curriculum
LVS Ascot is an independent co-educational day and boarding school inspiring students from four to nineteen to exceed their expectations.
Our campus is in Berkshire, UK, and set in 26 acres of parkland. We are easily located and within easy reach of London, major motorways and Heathrow Airport.
Our curriculum offers a wide variety of choice, depending on age, interests and capabilities.

Infant and Junior School Curriculum
At LVS Ascot Infant and Junior School we pride ourselves on our caring and nurturing environment based on mutual respect and kindness, ensuring all children have an equal chance of success.
Our staff are experienced, well qualified and understand the importance of a child centred approach to learning. Our engaging and stimulating cross curricula environment ensures all children can thrive.
We put the children’s interests at the heart of our planning, encouraging independence and risk taking. We encourage our children to be active learners and to develop critical thinking.
Senior School Curriculum
In Years 7 – 9 our Senior School students follow a wide-ranging curriculum. In addition to traditional core subjects like English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, we also teach subjects as diverse as Philosophy, Technology, Performing Arts, Spanish and French. This gives our pupils a wealth of experience to inform their future subject choices.
In Years 10-11 we still encourage a breadth of study. The ‘open choice’ system we operate at GCSE allows pupils a degree of personalisation as they begin the process of subject specialisation.

Sixth Form Curriculum
A-Levels and BTECs: In LVS Ascot’s Sixth Form we offer a wide range of A Levels and BTECs, including subjects that won’t have been studied at GCSE.
EPQ: Our Extended Project Qualification replicates a university dissertation and gives our students a chance to express themselves outside of the traditional syllabus. The EPQ has a UCAS tariff equal to half an A-level and will benefit any university application that has specific subject result requirements, including those to the Russell Group.
Courses for International Students: For overseas students we also have our one academic-year Pre-A Level Programme. This focusses on language acquisition, and when partnered with the NCUK ‘International Foundation Year’, it provides an excellent pathway to UK universities.
Oxbridge and Medical Pathways
If you are both academic and ambitious, LVS Ascot offers a programme that starts in Year 10 and can end at a world-leading university or a career in medicine. A focus of these pathways is to ensure that students have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and skills inside and outside the classroom.
Co-Curricular Activities
At LVS Ascot we aim for confident children, and we believe in giving students the tools to achieve that. Therefore, we offer a wide range of co-curricular activities that expand their life-experiences outside of the classroom. Click a button below to find out more.
