LVS Ascot Infant & Junior School is an independent primary school which provides space for your child to grow academically, personally and emotionally whilst protecting their precious childhood.
Our curriculum is devised from our Learning Values & Skills which aim to provide all our pupils with the tools to succeed in school and beyond. We do this by embedding a growth mindset and the belief that there are no limits on children’s capabilities or achievements. By focusing as much on personal development as we do academia we are able to create young people who are resilient, empathetic and ready to take the lead across all areas of society.
In the primary years, young pupils need to be active and creative. Our school day encompasses a mixture of outdoor and indoor education, with pupils having frequent access to our Forest School and outdoor learning area in order to give variety and excitement to all lessons.
All of our pupils work towards the Infant & Junior School Diploma, which exists to provide them with the chance to apply what is being learnt at school to everyday life. Specific enrichment slots included in their timetable provide opportunities to work together in chosen activities which are as wide ranging as visiting a local care home to map reading and navigational skills.
One of the most important jobs of an excellent primary school is to prepare pupils for their transition to Senior School life at age 11. As a through school, we are in the best place possible to do this over a long period of time and with the minimum of stress and worry. From their first days with us, pupils will have access to the impressive facilities which serve the whole site and, as they progress through the school, will utilise specialist classrooms to enhance their learning and familiarise themselves with the Senior School environment.
Our outstanding and dedicated staff are all graduates with primary qualified teacher status. We undertake regular professional development and engage with evidence based research to ensure our practice is up to date and the best it can be.
I look forward to welcoming you to our school in person, showing you around and hope that you will get a sense of the warm and wonderful community that we are.
